I'm not sure what went wrong with the sound. The computer I uploaded it on had no speakers so I couldn't check it. I'll try to get it sorted next time.
Kelvin's R31 recently put out 592HP and over 600NM of torque on an engine dyno so pretty hard to keep up with in a straight line!

Been playing around more lately. Fitted a GT3540R and got a cam regrind by powerplay and made 266rwkw. Apparently this was too much for the FJ Turbo box as it turned it to scrap metal.
Currently trying to fit a VL box to get it running for a race meet at Phillip Island next weekend!

hehe, it's a Garrett ball bearing turbo. I got it 2nd hand at a good price but it has a .63 exhaust housing which is probably a little small for the L28 but makes it come on very early and hard!
With a fitting kit I can run an RB25 box which is the same as the RB26 box but without the transfer case. The boxes alone are about $1500 and the fitting kit I think is about another $1000 on top of that which makes it an expensive exercise. I'll see if I can get good results with the VL/R31 or R32 box first cause it's a fairly simple conversion with the L-series bell housing. Don't even have to modify the tail shaft!
I did 59.1 in qualifying on saturday at Baskerville but it wasn't a good lap and was on the Bridgestones which are a bit slower than the Dunlops which I normally run. I busted the gearbox before I could find it's full potential. Hopefully it should be good for low to mid 58's once i sort out the teething problems.

Mate are you still running the Haltech F9, and who does your dyno tuning?

Hey mate, ditched the F9 for a new Haltech sport 2000 earlier this year because I needed ignition control.
Mark Oost from Total Autos in Huonville used to tune the F9 for me. he's now sold the business to his son and they haven't installed their dyno at their new premises. Most of the tuning with the F9 we did on the road.
Since I've been running the Sport 2000 Andrew Kuc from Pro Automotive has been tuning it.
