Yeah. Iam building a shed to make a work area to start the project of bolting it all together. Well spotted! the rebals would look cool, old school should stay old school. I am not sure if they will rub on the rear wheel arches. They are 7" with heaps of offset.... Don't want to butcher the car to fit the wheels at this late stage! I would perfer to get a tiny bit machined off the back of the wheels. Would only need 5-7mm i would think.

Try 'um first....Deane'o seems to have no problems running them on his 1600, and I've found the front is always where I have fitting problems, if any. I used 13 by 7 Hotwires for many years, although they are proberly a different offset, they had heaps.
Is the colour orginal Datsun, or something you brewed up?? and have you already got a motor, or planning on building one?

I found the original colour on the inside of a door that had been painted white. The dude at the paint shop traced it to datsun "slate blue" I have seen 1200s that colour, but not a 1600... Have now though! I chose the colour because it looks great with all the chrome 1600s have. I have a 2L that did have a rebuild a few years back. I am keen to build a better one though with L18 head & monster valves. Might just get the old girl back on the road first.
