Awesome Do you mind if I ask what you paid for it? The body doesn't look that bad in the pics. What's your plans for it? Road car/club days/hill climbs?

i had a ke70 corolla with a 2tg had konig rewinds on it so swapped that and 500 cash ;D
the body is little rough has dents from where it has been pushed with a 4wd and bull bar on the back of it. the battrey is in the boot and it looks like it wasnt strapped in for a while and has shorted out on the body a few times. passengers side of car has scrape marks all the way down it (cant polish them out) just enough to make it look "un neat".
well to start with it was goin to be my daily once i get my license but it's a little to quick for that. so ill just stick to the track with it for now. drive it to work every now and then but thats with parents sittin next to me half controlling how fast i go.
i'm gonna take it to the club day at baskerville on the 10th of may give it a crack.

Man this car has been around recently. LOL I built it a few years ago and it was pretty much straight as. Pity it's been knocked around. A good base for a very nice car. The 10 bolt diff is a Bluebird item, mostly series 3 TR-X's, some wagons and other random models had them. Be careful if you ever replace it, there are two different axle sizes, that one has the larger axles(at least it did when I had it). gallery.910bluebird.com/main.php?g2_itemId=1261there's the pics of the build up, I think trackspec off here now has the yellow car in the pics. Cheers, Anthony

Bluebird kits are mighty hard to come by.
The kit on the red car was a custom item I believe. That is a series 1 or 2. Someone on here may know the car or owner, it is a Tassie car.
The other kit was being made by some guy on the mainland. It is said to be moulded from the Group 3 race car. Some guys on the 910Bluebird forum had contacted him about purchasing kits. It was a while ago, the forum has been down for twelve months or so and a lot of information was lost. It is back up now so it would be worth a post, one of the other members may know the details.

The red bluebird was owned by Phil Howe i believe who was a local Launceston mechanic but i have not heard much of him for quite a while so he may have moved. He used to do a lot of work with karts so someone from that area may know of his where abouts or how he can be contacted he may know who has the moulds for that kit..

Not sure m8 but might be worth a call they may be related anyway he also raced a valiant pacer through the 80's and used to be like the val guru of the area so someone that is into Val's or was circuit racing then may also be able to help he was a very well known fellow so i am sure someone must know where he is

Phil Howe was into Kart racing through the 90's, and was building a lot of engines for people. After that I know he was building engines for a privateer in V8 Supercars at one stage. I'll ask a few people and see if I can find out what he's up to now days.
