This is my barnfind Nissan Silvia. Locked away for the last 20 years, I scored it this week, along with a Honda S600 I have been chasing for a long time. Dont have a great deal of time, so just a quick rundown. Only 554 of these were built, only 49 were imported to Australia. They are totally handbuilt, using a modified Fairlady chassis. Each panel was hand formed for each car & they very rarely interchange.

Thats awesome! Silvia looks complete and honest which must be a stroke of luck. Is the S600 a chain drive one or shaft?
I reckon Tassie is very likely full of these kind of things; its a matter of sniffing them out before rotten old sheds collapse, rust comes knocking, owners die and things get crushed..etc.
I don't reckon a Kombi for those two could be called a sacrifice.

Yea, Honda pretty perfect...Silvia does need some tlc to get it perfect...just some touch up repairs etc. Going to re do carpet, bit of work on & in boot area...try & find an original tailight...Missing one, others made up. Really just a very good deatil it will be spot on...needs new tyres too, the fronts are unsafe...perished. The Kombi was one owner, amazing condition low mileage Sopru camper....very hard to find & very attached to it...but these are special cars. Yea, I hunt cars out like this for a hobby. Have found some crazy cars...lowest mileage car was an immacul;ate 1959 FC Holden with 18,000 mile on the clock & thats just one car Rob J

Were they both originally tassie cars??? Yes, apparently. The Silvia CSP311 is quite cool, because its body number is Number 311 Same as the model code. The S600 is number 1516 of 1800 made...Both very rare cars.

Just happened on this forum, don't know if it is still active. Interested to know how much work you had to do on the Silvia,& how rusty it was. As for the tail-lights, were you missing the whole assembly or just the lenses? I have moulds to reproduce the lenses, I had to replace mine.
I have enjoyed using mine as a daily driver for the last 17 years, now getting to the stage where I'm considering selling it. Pics if anyone is interested, or refer to Aus Classic Car for May 2010.

Rayq, I'm on the other side of the world(USA), but if I can figure out how to ship it I would be interested, also depending on the cars conditions. Could you please send me pictures and the price of the car.
