Hi, I'm Bruce and at the moment I have a white 1978 120Y coupe, just waiting for a last few parts before rebuilding the motor prior to getting it registered. I've been getting some experience (and the datsun bug) while helping keep Tom's 120Y on the road. One of my most memorable 120Y coupe experiences is hanging upside down in the passenger seat of my mates mums car after he rolled it while doing handbrakies on a gravel road but that was about 24 years ago. I used to own a 1600 sedan with twin SU's about 20 years ago. Se ya on the road soon.
Bruce (Tom 210's dad)

Hi datoguys, I rebuilt my little datto motor over christmas while Tom was at Falls, had a hell of a job getting it to start, had to buy a big new battery to get it turning over fast enough, just need to get it out and registered so I can run it in ang get it loosened up. The main cause of the oil cloud that used to follow the datsun around was the valve stem seals, they were rock hard and in a 100 pieces rattling around inside the valve springs.

Hey people, I'm Dave, drive a bluebird wagon at the moment, pretty standard apart from 14x7 hotwires and a stereo. used to get around in a blue 200Bsss with a worked L20 (2.2) with twin 45 dellortoes, large cam, extractors etc, engine looks similar to the green bluey on the other page. Couldn't afford to keep it on the road cause I'm at uni, still have it at the moment, just trying to work out whether I could possibly part with it, or just keep it until I can afford to do it up again... dunno. also have a white $1.20 that doesn't go, but looks good rusting away in my back yard. saw the post by tom on ns.com and was stoked to see a datsun club in launnie. hopefully I'll be able to get on here a bit and come on a cruise or something (definately will be a cruise in slow standard bluey!) catch you all later DJ

yeh don't worry, there'll be pics on here real soon, as soon as I get some decent ones! I don't think it'd be my old engine that you have, as my old engine is sitting in my old car in my driveway. SR will be an awesome conversion in that bluey! The L20 can be good, but I had a few troubles with mine (carbies catching fire etc) and if I had the time and money I'd definately be putting in an SR or RB.. Trying not to do too many mods to my bluey at this stage cause I need something to get me between hobart and launceston twice a week, can't afford to have another car that's not going half the time! just put a new radiator in it yesterday, that hurt! anyway I'll get some pics on here ASAP! DJ.

Hi, My name is Mark and I have a late model Datsun (AKA Nissan), I'm in Hobart. Its an imported 1988 HR31 Skyline GTS coupe, white. Specs are basic, ECCS redtop RB20DET, 5 speed, LSD, 4 wheel steer, power everything, 3" cat back exhaust, 14psi boost. Currently off the road, but will be back and better soon, about to get some 17" wheels, and hopefully a split dump/front pipe and front mount intercooler kit.

Hey there guys,
Greg is my name and I drive a 1984 Bluebird TRX with a CA18DET in it. Keeping it pretty much stock on the outside apart from the vented bonnet that's almost ready to go on.
I live in Old Beach and am a boilermaker-welder, if this skill may come in handy to somebody, just ask. I'm pretty friendly!
Oh well, time to put the young fella to bed but will be back on later.
Cheers, Greg.
