Na I couldnt possibly let one go. How would I live with myself. They have become come like my Children, yes they can be a pain in the arse some times but its great to see them grow in front of me.
God how sick am I. I think i had best go book myself in to the nut house.
I have received the photos of the car and I wont be buying this one its in about the same state as my two red cars if not a bit worse, and because it is another red 4 door.
Datsunlimted : its in Adelaide and they want $500 for it. I can give you the contact details if you want. (You bring it in and I will get it off you later).

Yep there the wheels, when are you getting some?? and the SLR flairs. I hate to say it but it does look good! but dont tell anyone I said that. When do I pick up the Hustlers then??

The wheels are from the Tamiya Nissan R390 GT1 race car kit. If you look in the photos link the Datsunlimited put up you will see the car there. Funny thing is the Million dollar Blue R390 GT1 that is there has the same steering wheel as the Cherry will be getting.
And No I wont be letting the Hustler's go. They are mine and will be staying in my shed till I put them on the car. Unless you want to swap a set of Superlites???
I would never put dirty old SLR flares on the Cherry I have been looking at a few other different sets though. I will need a set to cover the Hustlers when I put them on.

Project engine work has stalled for abit until I can get the alloy sump modified. it is 20mm bigger than the original N10 one. So that means I cant get the gearbox to mount back on to the engine. Hopefully will have the sump modified before Xmas If Im lucky. Doesnt matter I have started playing with the interior and tidying it up. Plus once my new brake pads arrive i can start to put the disc rear end into the car.

Sump modifed and gear box adjusted (ground down a few spots) Just waititng on the new clutch $99.50 ebay special (instead of the quoted $265 from SBC). Also I finally have a N10 workshop manual (thanks to my wife).
So the project is slowly getting back on track.

Update for Project cherry Bomb. Latest Problem. I have learnt that there is two different sumps for the Cherry's. I am using the A10 sump. but I need a A12 sump. I do have a A12 one but thats in the coupe and thats where is it staying. Heres why I need the A12 sump. Rub marks from the conrod bolt nuts hitting the sump. Heres the picture of the A12 engine sump. (with the clearence humps to stop rubbing). Heres My modified A10 engined sump. Its cut back to clear the gearbox's extra length. I will be getting the sump modified again so that I have the cearance humps as well. Heres where I had to grind a few spots on the gearbox for clearance. The large rectangle areas are already there I didnt have to grind those.

Stick with it Tiger.....I'm looking foward to hearing those twin 40's roar, and those front Hustlers turn to smoke!!!
Whats the A12 sump out of??? are they hard to find??

A12 sumps are mainly out of the Coupe's but there was also a few of the other body models fitted with the A12's later on. I know of only two A12 sumps here in Aust the one in my coupe and the one in the coupe in Qld. I wouldnt fancy getting one shipped from England or Japan as They are a little on the heavy side.
Before any one ask's no I cant use a steel sump because the alloy ones have one of the engine mounts incorporated into it. (check the photo in previous posts).
