So this is my dato 1600.. its a 70 model that i bought from an old fella in Melb and drove it back. its my first car and i was on my L's when i bought it. how happy i was! This is it when i bought it a few years ago... oh how times have changed! This is it now... Hilux 4 spots, r30 struts and lowered king springs with KYB inserts. Here's the replacement ;D and the new FMIC Now i'm waiting on the arrival of the fitting kit to put the sr in. I'll post more pics as things develop.

sorry boys, i lost the address to this site and couldn't find it. My intercooler is the 400 sized one but as im puttin the bmw 740 radiator in i might have to go bigger. I've ordered the radiator and it should be arriving in a couple of weeks. after thats done its a test fit and then off to get sprayed can't wait!

Ok so the radiator is coming this tues! finally. somehow it missed the order it was supposed to come on as they didn't get the stock till after the order had gone. Also ordered the overflow tank. Received the fuel pump this week, mirrors and Pete is sending the wiring on monday. SWR surge tank should be arriving soon too! Just need to get the radiator sorted out, and the heater pipes and then i'll be looking to spray the car! Anyways so here's a few pics of the test fit: The SR only JUST fit through the chassis rails, and im talking mm. (as you can see!) A pic showing the enlarged shifter cut out and the new short shifter from ebay. I had to remove the master cylinder as it wouldn't fit beside the inlet manifold, which means im now gonna have to get a 280zx type or alike.

so just to keep u updated; the last 5 weeks or so have been an absolute waste; i was trying to get the bmw radiator that others are using on datnet etc. but that appears at first impossible. Firstly the wrong model was ordered in for me, then after waiting 2 weeks for that to arrive i finally hunted out the part number of the radiator that i wanted (the shop couldn't find it) and the told me it would cost $1800 ex-germany!! no thanks. So now i'm looking for alternatives or just go custom. anyways, i'll keep u posted.

You could allways use an N13 Pulsar Radiator. Cost me all of $120 Thats what im using atm. And might upgrade to a custom one later.

For the N13 pulsar radiator i was told by Baz(datsport) that it had to be the imported version. But i seem to have found an alternative. I'm gonna use a saab 9000 2.3l turbo radiator instead. Tomorrow i'm going to see the two different models and pick one up. I also figured out the intercooler to turbo piping the other night, so now its just the t/b side. I'm waiting on the arrival of my throttle cable and clutch hose too, should be here in a couple of days. then, finally, its off to paint and panel.
