I'm getting a knocking sound coming from the rear end of the 120y wagon. It still goes fine, but every 30 seconds or so i get a series of clunks or knocks coming from the rear end, especially at lower speeds. I suspect it's the diff, just wondering if anyone's had a similar problem? just don't want to put it all out before i know what needs to be replaced.

checked your uni joints/suspension mounts for wear?

yeah i had a look yesterday and the rubber pads that sit between the diff and the spring pack are stuffed (all cracked and decaying) causing the diff to have tilted back about a degree or more its also on 2" blocks so that might be part of the problem, but maybe the angle of the diff has caused the uni joint to slog out over time? the knock is getting progressively worse (especially when going around corners) thanks for your advice.
