ok, what can we do to get a few people along?
a bbq would be a good idea, for everyone to hang out have something to eat and get to know everyone else..
if we get a good idea i'll chuck an ad in the examiner and trading post.. maybe we could get a thing on the tv "community events" bit.

Good idea, somewhere where we can eat, drink, and be merry, then pass out. The only hassle this time of the year is the weather. Central location is another consideration. Combine it with some other event maybe, give out free sticker to all that turn up? Wet T Shirt comp. I don't mind getting wet,lol  . Maybe we should try getting separate meetings going for the southerners, northerners, Easterners and norwesteners so they get to know people in there areas and then get the mobs together for a gathering. This would make initial contact easier because of locality, ie. less traveling,expense, time etc. Then people in the mobs that are down on licence, money, wheels etc. can sort out travel arrangements and make it to the wet T Shirt contest,I mean meeting, event, sleep over, piss up,or what ever it is that we organize to attract as many DATSUN Owners as possible to one spot.  So we are getting a few members, only trouble is not a lot of them say any thing on the site, why? I feel comfortable talking on this site, but I find it hard to talk on other sites,cant think of what to say, might sound like a dick head, will they take that the wrong way, old school ideas etc. Any ideas on how to stimulate site talk and make people feel comfy with using the site? If we can get people to check the site more often because of all the interesting things,photos, for sales, what ever, have local meetings and build it up a bit, then have our larger gatherings and rock n' roll-ll. localise meetings,
something to do,
wet t-shirts
try and get to motorsport events...

regionalisation is a good idea, i didnt mind coming all the way to launceston for a meeting but i cant do it all the time. id have to sell a bit of datto each time to cover the fuel.
maybe assign some regional coordinators to organise each regions meetings.

Yep wet t-shirt contest is bound to get people along, just have to find girls to do it. I have a couple of mates with great sets of man-boobs that would be up for it but I don't think that would quite cut it |

sounds good,
i could probably get some non member datto maniacs from my old club to come along to a meeting in the hobart area. but how often do we have a statewide meeting?
so who wants to be a regional co-ordinator?
