The yellow 1600,is in fact two cars from Qld, Father and Son each driving. Aptly named Unit1 and Unit2, how cool is that!! They have both been competing down here for many, many years, ans you will also see then at the Dutton Rally, Classic Adalade etc.. You tube is down LTD, what did you do to it  ?? |

i was looking on the NDSOC website for targa tour details and i found this wild machine  it used to be a 240k i believe. it must have about a foot of offset. |

And what's with the flared rear guards?
I saw an itinerary for a recent shannons auction and there was a Z with the body kit to make it look like a Ferrari 250 GTO. They were expecting $24-32K for it, I just don't get it. Don't get me wrong, a 250 GTO is a great car but when you try to turn a Z into one they look terrible.

ive been watching old A team dvds and theyre full of dattos!
early eighties california. p510s b210s and heaps of " Zee cars" 240, 260 280.
i couldnt tell you what the rest of it was about i was too busy looking for dattos!

Just spotted a bright blue 1600 on Murray st. Sounded like it still had L series power, had a decent set of wheels and it looked like it had been sprayed recently. Was a nice looking car.

Yeah Snoozer, she isnt pretty, but would go like a cut cat!! Tell 'Big Red' I've got a motivational 2005 Alpine rally DVD for him to watch!!! after I prise it from Mottys hand's!! It would be good to get him back into a real rally car, not the 4wd tractor!!
I did navigate for you once, and trust me it will be only once!!! maybe we could go stage for stage?

On saturday I saw a faded white/creamish, well used 68 model 1600 with 200B SX wheels & SA number plates towing a trailer (on tour?) near maccas in kingston. Today I saw a green 120y coupe drive past my work (Hobart Autohaus) stocko, but tidyish looking.

On saturday I saw a faded white/creamish, well used 68 model 1600 with 200B SX wheels & SA number plates towing a trailer (on tour?) near maccas in kingston. sounds like this one: Every morning as I walk from where I park my car, I go past this 1600 that's had a horrible bronze respray. It's just parked out on the street and has a flat tyre half the time so I'd say it barely gets used and doesn't look like the car of a datsun enthusiest. The body looks pretty good though, it'd be a great project car. Well worth an enquiring note on the windscreen if anybody is after one. You work at Autohaus Datfreak? You'd know Matty Davis then? |

Yeah top bloke. Plenty of clowning around to be had in the workshop. I asked him if he new you. He also said you went to school together. Saw a green $120 today with hotwires. Not 50m from where i spotted the 1600 on tour. Also know the bronze one you mentioned before. I see it on road tests. It could be a sleeper I noticed the front brake upgrade & disc brake rear end.... maybe a 2L under the hood? nice car, except the colour. Also saw a dude fanging in his red zed in Molle st on fri arvo.
