 This is my little Beast......... Im Running a 1G-GE with T-50 5 Speed in it, Will have a SC14 hanging off the side of it in around 12 months time.  Ill do a full report on what been done soon with more Pics. |

the mark 2 corona is an interesting car, a bit like a toyota 240k, there arent a lot of them around.
Please tell me it has two doors!
did you do the conversion yourself?
the 1gge is a 2 litre 6 cyl isnt it? and the 1ggze had the sc14 standard?
that will get along nicely!

It’s a 4 Door...... the Coups are Nigh impossible to find, however one of my good mates has a 72 coupe which he is putting a 1UZ in (that’s right a Lexus 4ltr Quad-cam V8)
And yep, the 1G - GE is a NA 2ltr 24valve Straight 6. It also came out as the:
1G - GZE = Supercharger
1G - GTE = Twin Turbo
As much as I would like to credit myself for all the work done I can’t. I got it with the 1G and 5 speed already mounted but it wasn’t running and she was full of rust. It’s now running and around 2 months away form Rego, with a few minor body repairs to go.
The Corona Mk2 is pretty much the Toyota equivalent of any of the early Skylines; however the mk2 has the advantage of Double-Wishbone front suspension. The Mk2 Badge was dropped in Australia in favor of the Cressida badge in the late 70's.
The Mk 2 Badge continued on in Japan right through to the JZX90 Chaser Mk2

When I was a boy, the hot set up ina Mk2 Carowner was a 186 Holden with triple Stormie's....non of these flash fuel injected thing's...........

Funny you should say that bluerat that seams to be the mod for hyundia excels these days nothing that a sr20det could fix

On toymods yes.... Dirty Holden Pushrod motors should never be in Mk2's... I did think about going Extractors, Cams, Tripple sideies..... which would make this motor sing right up untill the cams part... $35 per lobe, 24 Valves = 2 Xy SR20det? arn't they a tractor motor  ... you meat to say 3S-GTE of couse..... |
