There were a heap of 1600' running, even Andrew Lawson was driving one!! Kelvin dipped into the sixties in the Skyline, bloody Spike in the BMW 02 got into the ten's and it looks like the 510racer boys had a top day in there 510 racers.....

It was a great day The Mongolian Flyer Smoked them all day. I dont think they wanted to try and pass you on the back corner not with the flames belching out of your exhaust.
Well done scando it was a pleasure to watch you. The wife even said what a great looking car and how quick it was.
Well done to the 1600 brigade I was amazed when I walked in to the garage and seen 4 of them parked in there. I dont know how you stayed so consistant with your times each lap.
Also commiserations to Racingfuji who had to pull out with a blown gearbox at least I got a look at the car and got to help push it onto the trailer. that is one great looking 1200.

Thanks guys. Great to find that Datsun reliability again ;D Due to mechanical problems with other cars I'm right back in the series too. I normally would feel bad about making up points due to other peoples misfortune. But considerring that's how I got behind in the points in the first place it doesn't feel so bad I don't know who the 1600 Lawson was running belonged to but it looked schmicko. Seemed to have a fair bit of go too! Would be interesting to see how it would go with some decent tyres. Was a great turn out of datsuns. Dispite mechanical issues Mick ended up 2nd for the day in Targa C so he was very happy.

Here's the 1600 Lawson was running tassied.smugmug.com/gallery/3083229#168313594I like it Kelvin was very happy with his day Bluerat. And so he should be! He was giving Kuc a good run for his money which is never easy, especially at Symmons.

Go the GloWorm's....Interesting sponsership Mr.Bond...
That fine 1600 of Lamb's has been around for a while, It used to be beige, a bit of a sleeper and it's did some pretty quick times up Oonah a few years ago. might have a photo somewhere?? Talking about sleepers that Excel looks like it's in incognito, hard to tell it from an original!! just the thing for Sat night blockies!!

Just kinda stumbled across that sponsorship Bluerat. A guy from Yamaha Motor Finance was in at dad's work and saw the car there. Just so happens that he navigates in a Z in road rallys on the mainland.......... The Excel is very understated isn't it. You would think he might have been able to find a bigger wing
