Seems I'm up for a rebuild. The engine broke a valve guide, bent a valve and munched the broken bits inside the cylinder.

Sorry to hear that Deane Did the engine have much done internally? Might be a good chance to put some nice strong internals in

All standard from what I understand. The FJ is big dumb and strong as it comes, and I'm not chasing BIG power but I will put some forged pistons in anyway

Turns out the valve collett broke. It munched a bucket and shim also.
There is a set of forged pistons, a full set of valves, colletts and all other necessary parts on the way.

Is this an upgrade Deane?? or just replacing what you had? Last time I was talking to Dam'o Moore he was impressed with the KW's you were getting.

The pistons are an upgrade I suppose, only for reliability though. I don't need anymore power at the moment, I just need to get the existing stuff on the ground.
