Hey dato owners, Got myself this 1978 Dato 620 kingcab "deluxe" basiclly Grandpa spec Deluxe basiclly means it has factory floor shift, bucket seats, clock, and a few other pieces. Bloody rare car, never seen another kingcab in person. Head gasket blew a week after I got it.. Fixed that then something else went majorly wrong with the engine, Pulled engine out and gave it away, currently looking for a SR20det to put in Now has a chassis notch, Plans are to have the engine conversion and notch engineered install 720 front disc brakes - already bought And have it quite low but keep the body all original, bit of a sleeper White wall tyres Heres a few pics

Sounds like a great project. The grandpa spec sun visor will really help with the sleeper look. Is the notch so you can drop it to low rider height? Neat job.

Yeah its so you can get it lower and have a more comfortable ride, or i was even thinking of air bagging it, but i dont want to cut the old girl up to much, Got my 720 disc brakes on, After a cheap sr20det, gearbox, loom etc let me know if anyone heres of one for sale
