Well heres the story of my wagon so far...
I bought it in may 2004 from a wreckers yard for $500, rip off i know but i was young and stupid - hang on i still am!
This is what it looked like (this photo the engine isnt in it tho..) and dont mind the piece of sh!t behind it, im blaming it on 'mid-life crisis'
So there begun the work, it didnt pass the pits so got all that stuff done then i noticed over the next few months was blowing alot of smoke so then came the rebuild.
Got a fair bit of extra work done to the donk and whilst i was doing stuff replaced all bushes (poly urethane), new boots, suspension (shocks & springs).
Re did the carpet/interior, fitted a stezza - the usual mods.
The engine as it stands today (its just wants twin 40's on the side! Any one got any?)
A good photo taken my Tom the other day, need to work on the body work now. Rust is NOT my friend!
Engine:
20 thou overbored A15 (tubbed,honed, decked etc)
Endurance pistons 'slightly' oversize
Polished & ground crank
Fully balanced
new bearings, gaskets, seals etc
Waggot cam, grind #125 (bloody lumpy, too lumpy) - resurfaced lifters
Rollmaster adjustable sprockets and timing chain
decked head, extra swirl job, de-degaed ports, new seats & guides
lightened flywheel (was 9.8 now 5.2kg)
Weber 32/36 DGAV now fitted with electric choke
Top gun leads, NGK 'v-groove' plugs
Mazda 323 radiator
Perry extractors, (looked to be tuned length primaries)
1 3/4" system with sports muffler (Berklee exhaust)
Suspension:
Standard king springs but got the reset 2" lower (are now a higher rated spring - more tension)
Munroe gas shocks
Poly urethane bushes all round
15" TRX rims on 195/50 rubber and 20mm spacers
Interior:
New carpet ($10 bargin from Carpet choice!)
Pioneer headunit
Kenwood 6" splits and Kenwood 6X9's in the rear
Shaggy wool seat covers and other random ones...
Fuli sik 2" tacho
There will be more to come as things need replacing/fixing bad!
Cheers
Dave
