Ok they worked so here's some specs
The engine conversion was done when I bought the car so I don't know all the specs but here is what I know
-L28 from a 280ZX -Standard pistons (tops shaved for decompression) -T04 turbo running 10psi -Cut down truck intercooler with custom end tanks -Custom exhaust manifold -3" Mandrel bent exhaust -External waste gate venting to atmosphere -Modified standard inlet plenum -Commodore throttle body -500cc Bosch injectors (I think) -Holly blue pre pump -Bosch main pump -standard cam -Haltech F6 computer
Drivetrain -solid centre brass button clutch -standard gearbox (just hanging in there) -standard diff (welded)
suspension -koni adjustable shocks, sleeved for adjustable ride height -stiffer springs (not sure on the brand) -standard front sway bar (I think) -big rear sway bar (not sure on the brand)
brakes Front -Honda Legend ventilated and slotted rotors -RX7 4 spot callipers
Rear -R31 discs and callipers -wilwood proportioning valve
Wheels -15X7 superlites
Tyres -215/50 Bridgestone Potenza RE540S
Performance -Never run a quater mile or had it on the dyno but it's pretty safe to say it has 300+ HP at the engine -Runs low 62's at Baskerville

I like my 280zx, but the 240z has got to be the pick of the z cars in my books, she looks good, keep us posted. Are you going to take her up to symmons at any time?

thanks all z cars are awesome in my books but the light weight and awesome weight distributin of the 240 make them something special.
I was planning to have it ready to race next weekend at baskerville but I haven't managed to get it log booked and everything in time. Next round of the tas super series is at symmons on the 2nd of July so I should be racing there vonster.

Here's a video my brother took the other weekend at baskerville of me pulling around 200kph down the back straight and going through the corner at the end of the straight. Unfortunatly the video quality is a bit poor due to the host site, if anybody knows any better sites let me know and I'll post it elsewhere. The file is around 500kb so it shouldn't take long to download even on dial-up. Here's the link: s65.photobucket.com/albums/h231/scando_man29/?action=view¤t=240Zwmv.flvcheers

Just a quick update
As some of you would know I'm racing this sunday at baskerville. If anybody is heading to the track for a look then make sure you come over to the pits and say hi.

Hey there Shane
Its Matthew Grace here - I have the blue Datsun 1200 Coupe that was parked next to you at Round 1 at Bakerville.
Just a quick one, regarding the sweet paint job you had done to your helmet - I am keen to get some basic colour work done to mine & you mentioned that the guy who did yours is just starting out.
Would you be able to email his details to me so I can get in contact with him?
Anyways, hope to hear from you soon.
Regards
Matthew

Yeah, I was lucky to pick this thing up at the price I did. Since I've bought it the prices have gone stupid! I think I actually got it at the price I did because it had so much done to it. most people looking for a nice Z want something original. The body was pretty average when i bought it too. Had to put in a new drivers side floorpan and patch up some other bits of rust. It's still not all that straight but good enough for a circuit car.

I love it, looks like a few of you guys are into circuit racing! I'm new to the circuit, but that was the reason for building the bluey! the drags get a bit boring need some twisty bits
