Temp got to 120 again but i backed off for the last couple of laps and it recovered to normal run temp so i reckon the radiator is blocked up and not a head gasket problem.
Would have been a good drift display if i could have held it lol had perfect angle and plenty of smoke haha.

Here's another ripper of Boost laying some rubber... That 'little' vibration I had turned out to be a loose gearbox.....which caused a few small issues, but it's well underway to being fixed. I'm glad no one had a camera at old pit corner on that first run....those new Bridgestone sure have got some grip...It put the wind up me for a couple of run's and was just getting back into the swing, and it stopped. I just dipped into 12's not like the Booster, he did 1.06's and won classB(I just read the results on the LCCT web site), not bad for his first run. I did beat Spike in the BMW which is alway's good. Scando, 510racer and Deane better come along to the next one.......

Just checked that out some how i think that may have been a combined effort the clock started on me and finished on you lol so congrats m8 we broke the 1:10 mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's good if the gasket is fine Boost. I thought it seemed odd for a NA 4 cylinder to be running so hot with such a big radiator. Do you reckon the radiator might have been sitting around too long and corroded a bit?
Loose gearbox doesn't sound good Bluerat! Hope it didn't do too much damage.
Gotta love the team work to get a 1:06. That's one way to beat those pesky Escorts!

The organiser for the meeting is the MG Car Club Tas. Contact them for supp regs if you're interested. The only thing is that I think entires close in a couple of weeks.

Well radiator went in today would be lucky to be 25% efficient so that will fix the heating issues rear k frame came out diff and all needs new bushes so that will tighten things up new bushes though the front as well then some new springs and sway bars and fix the rear main seal and new clutch a wheel alignment and we will be ready to try again some new jets get here next week to richen it up a bit crank on more than 20 degrees total timing and lookout escorts here i come lol also new diff ratio locked and lowered 1 1/2" all round.
Good to hear the damage was limited bluerat should be good to go at the blacktac series then m8.

He, he there's some top photo's there Boost, how are your tyres, a bit worn in spot's?? Round three of the Tas Rally Series is on his Saturday in the Rocky Cape area, between Wynyard and Smithton, there are many Datsuns running along with the usual boring WRX's, Evo's etc...Spectator guides are avalible on www.nwcctas.org.au, come along for a look if your in the area..... If you have an intrest in the gravel, the NWCC/NWORCC are holding a Khanacross at Latrobe on the 07/07/07. Think a Motocross track with no jumps and one car at a time...great fun and you can race from the age of 14. For more info drop me a PM....

Who's is the SSS Bluerat?
My LSD arived the other day and when I unpacked it I found out it is a viscous one. I didn't even know they made viscous long nose R200's or I would have asked the seller. So in short I have a viscous long nose R200 LSD for sale if anybody is interested.

I pinched the photo from Errol at Datrat, who built it up for Tugga but didn't run it, shame. A well known Rally personality from Launceston owns one which is very similar, exept no flairs, which turned up to Sparky's last Saturday. The flairs and bonnet off the above Stanza are now in Burnie, and hanging up in another coupes owners dad's shed.....hope your keeping up In other words, a long way round for a bit of a stir!!
Scando, did you run over a Chinaman?? Black cat crossed your path?? loose you lucky rabbit's foot?? gee's matey, buy an nine inch Harrop IRS conversion and be done with it!!! I'd have thought R200 LSD's would be falling out of the sky, with all the 300zx's, 200sx's etc about? I'd have been that pissed off I would of run the Viscous till it melted!! and tried for warrenty!
Will b10wagon and 510racer drag out the 1600 for the regularity?? If we ever have kid's I will call my first born son Cedric !! and No I have not been drinking....much!

whats so bad about the viscous diff? isnt it strong enough? The viscous diffs are just as strong but when you're running sticky tyres in circuit racing it works them too hard and they get too hard. They work fine for road use. There are R200 LSD's everywhere Bluerat but they're all short nose. I've tried combining a short nose centre with a long nose housing, crown wheel and pinion a while back but it didn't work.
