MMMM... haven't had much to do with 1000's , got one in the grave yard, if I get a chance I have a squizz on the weekend. I know a bloke who's got a CA20 in one, I ask him what he done. Other than that get on the 1200 site. Vonster.

you can install the entire front strut and brake assy from any L motor datto into A motor dattos. i have 240k struts with 10 in discs and sumitomo twin pots in my 120Y. it will work with 1200s as well. you need a pair of datsun stanza steering arms and 120y control arms and ball joints for fit into a 1200. i assume you need these for a 1000 as well if the front susp. setup is similar. you have to slightly enlarge the bolt holes at the top of the strut tower in an outwards direction and you may need a larger master cyl. 3/4 in 120y master is fine for 240k brakes. you may have to grind the inner edge of the top sping seat for clearance, and i recommend lowered springs unless you want positive camber, this may not be an issue if you use the 120y control arms which are longer than 1000/1200 ones.

They are a wild looking set up datsunreal, the leaf spring is east west across with wish bone ends,I'll have to go and have a look at the one in the grave yard I've never taken much notice and have'nt had one going. I asked a bloke about the disks low1000, and he has put a set of rear pinatra rotors over his stubs, he had to re drill 3 holes, fit brackets for calibers, used back ones, he hasnt try-ed them yet, figuring out what wheels will clear. It was a quick yak I had so when I find out more I let you know. has yours got the small square looking guard side indicators, or the long narrow looking ones? Vonster

I think 120y brakes would bolt up if you welded on a braket for the caliper and also would any one have a bonnet and some badges for a 1000 wagon
