Hey guys and girls.
Im need some advice. i'm thinking that i would like to sell my datto 1600 and i am not sure how much they are selling for these days. It has a rebuild L16 engine and i have done about 6000km's since rebuild Extractors Lukey Exhaust 15" inch challengers All new suspension. SSS dash part from that it is pretty stock. It is in pretty mint condition.
Any ideas how much i could be asking for her?
Cheers Andy

Hi Andy, Welcome to the site.
You want to sell your 1600? Crazy but your choice.
In Tassie you could ask around $2500- $3500 and expect to get some interest. Via ebay? possibly $5K+
Sight unseen this should give you some ideas.Photos are a must!!

Want to swap it for my 85 E30 318i BMW? Lowered, 15inch wheels. Tidy condition Much like a 1600 to drive only refined and with Fuel injection!

I've seen this car driving around Hobart. Definatly one of the better condition 1600's getting about. I'd say somewhere around the $4K mark or maybe more if you find the right buyer.

Yeah, I remember chatting to you at the track. How did you enjoy the run in the vee? Are you thinking about getting into racing them?

Yeah i had lots of fun out there pity the BMW club was there cause i only got to go out there twice so as i just got used to it i had to go which sucks. I would love to race them but they are pretty expensive and i think they are all changing to 1600 and they are about 40g which i def dont have, and the yellow one would not be quick enough but i shall see. How long have u had your car for?

I think vees are kind of similar to HQ's in that they're cheap to get into to have a bit of fun but very expensive to be on the pace. I've had the car for about 4 years now I think. It already had the engine conversion, suspension brakes, etc done and I've just done bits and pieces like put the roll cage in to turn it into a race car. I've raced it for the last two seasons. A bit out of date now but here's most of the info on it: datsunownerstas.proboards79.com/index.cgi?board=memcars1&action=display&thread=133

If it's only done less than 100,00k's and is in excellent condition I'd say $1K would be too cheap. Probably more around the 1.5-2K mark. But like Wombat said, photos will give a better indication. Welcome to the forum.
