I'm not sure on the solid rear end diffs but I run 300+ hp through a welded R180. R200 will take just about anything you can throw at it!

I was just looking at those photos you posted up. If you're going to go to the trouble of finishing off that Independant rear then build it to fit a short nose R200 LSD. By the looks of the photos this might be what it already has in it? R200 short nose diffs come out in Silvia's, R32's, etc so you can be guaranteed there will always be plenty of crunched donor cars to get diffs at good prices

Sounds like a lot of work but will be worth it in the long run. A few hundred bucks for a short nose LSD is definatly better than paying a grand for a long nose if you bust one. Good luck with it

Count the teeth on the crown wheel then the pinion then divide the big number by the small number. Some have the numbers stamped on the crown wheel. If it's a Bluebird one it will probably be 35 : 9. ie 35 divided by 9 is 3.89. Diff ratio = 3.89:1.
Other option if it's a complete diff turn the axle exactly one turn and count the turns of the tail shaft yoke. You'll need to put some kind of mark on it to count accurately. For above diff, yoke will turn 3.89 times to one exact turn of the axle.

the h190 diffs are pretty strong, the h165 or whatever its called would be a waste of time one problem is finding an lsd for a h190 though, it seems to be near imposible! but as yours is a track car there probably wont be a problem welding it? people have trouble ripping the trailing arms off the floor, most that drop in a sr or ca have theirs strengthened theres a lot of info at www.910bluebird.com if you havnt been here already this is a bit old so you probably have things sorted already
