Did you go out for a look Trackspec?? Anybody else?? I missed the lot due to being at bloody work, oh well. Baldrick looked to have an interesting day......slow in the morning , very quick in the arvo, what happened Benny?? Victorian Superstar Jesse Robison came in 4th in his 1600 khanacross car, after a spin on the last stage......Mark Kyle was 6th in the orange 1600, and 'Pig Dog' Newton had a tough day in the Skyline.
Anything else going on out there in Datsun world?? how are all those 'builds' coming along?

I got the jet drive the other day, its a Jacuzzi SM8. i cant find any info on it on the net, only for the larger units which can cope with up to 500hp @ 6000rpm. I am tempted to take it apart, but i really want to find out more about it before i do! does anyone know how much A and L4 motors weigh?

So what are you putting the Jacuzzi in 'unreal'?? 500hp @ 6000 is a serious A series?? that and a 12 foot dingy would be a lot of fun, any takers for skiing? I'm unsure on engine weight, an L4 would have to be around 80-100kg?? or an I just weak?
Sorry to hear about the lack of motovation Adrian! my nieces have a couple of those China made Minibikes and they are are blast, I should get one for a pit bike, but I wouldn't get Mrs. Blue off it.
Keeg's has some good footage of you in action Baldric!! Is the new shell any better/different to drive than the old girl?
Sooo how did you go Scando?? scare any public sevent's?? Can we safely say you are now legally Hobarts quickest accountant?
My roster has had a little shake-up lately and I've got next weekend off, If I can get the 4.4 together I might head up to Symmons for the LCCT's Clubday! anybody else ready and thinking about having a run? Don't forget round two of the Tas Hillclimb Championships are being held at Baskerville on Sunday the 3rd of August, and the NWCC's Minna Rd hillclimb is on the 10th of August. Round four of the Super Series is on at Symmons on July 27th, and round four of the Tas Rally Series is on in Houn area n the 26th of July.
Has Wombat hibernated for the winter??

I think an L6 weighs around 150kg so that sounds about right for L4 What sort of rego are you going for on the rat? I could only get category 2 SI rego (race/rally). I wanted category 1 (30+ years old) but I couldn't get it because it has a 6 point cage. It passed the inspection fine and I got a call from the transport on friday asking to send in photocopies of my CAMS license and log book but they said it all looks fine and there shouldn't be any problems I've seen those pit bikes cheap on ebay, look like a bargain. It's amazing how cheap some of the stuff coming out of China is now. Yesterday I had a go my mates nitro engine 1:8 scale remote control monstor truck he got for $230, it's awesome. Top speed of just under 100km/h and we flipped it heaps of times doing jumps and it just doesn't break!

I'll try and get full rego Scando, I'm not getting my racer rego'd but a spare shell I've had in stock for some time. I took Karen's 1600 for a little drive the other weekend, and thought I have to get one of these on the road!!! I'm using your old 5 speed, and a L20 off Boost, the old suspension out of the race car, and a lot of junk lying around in my shed. It's a while off yet, but I'm trying to do a job a day. My Brother races a Nitro buggy, and has spent more buck's than if he was racing a real car!! but he love it, he loves fiddling with the thing, they are so adjustable!!
My 4.4 has turned out to be a 4.6, bugger, so the clubday is off for me this weekend. I'll have to try for a Subaru diff to get the ratio, and, of course, they are rare in 4.4. I'll try for the regualarities at the July Super series for my next event.
So what are you saying 'Coupe?? going Drag racing?? I'd cut the roof off, weld up the back doors and go crusing!!
Good to see your still kicking Wombat!! I'm always interested in 1600 projects!! Go on Tracspec I know you want it.

Bad news, I need a rally license to get SI category 2 rego. So it looks like I'll have to enquire about a license upgrade. I guess I'll probably want it at some stage in the future anyway.
Nice that you've got enough bits lying around to make a complete car Bluerat! It's a bugger that you have to get a modification plate to run an L20 in a 1600. What's the maximum legal increase without getting it engineered? Is it 20% capacity increase?

Just noticed in the latest HSCC newsletter that Deane got the 2nd fastest time at a recent club day. Good to see it's going again and cutting some quick times. In other news, I saw Maddatca18's 1600 last weekend with the cage in and back together. Hopefully we might see it make an apperance in Targa class this year

Is anybody else running round two of the Hillclimb championship at Baskerville on the 3rd of August???
Well done Deane, sounds like it's going vey well.
Gee's that's a pain in the arse about having to get a rally licence Scando, what a joke!! I have to get a full engineers report done on my new 1600 because I'm fitting 240k struts and K front brakes......looks like I told them too much in the report.

I don't think I'll run but might do my trackside hours to get off my P's. I take it you're having a run? I was talking to Mick the other day and he said he'll be there.
I think sometimes you're better off not telling them too much in the report. What are the chances that the average police officer is going to know the difference between 240K struts and brakes compared to 1600 struts and brakes?

Is anybody else running round two of the Hillclimb championship at Baskerville on the 3rd of August??? I'll be there with bells on I haven't been on here for a while now. Here is a bit of an update I posted on Ozdat "Engine has been back together for a while now. After running it in etc it was discovered that the injectors were fcuked and all flowed different rates  New 550's were fitted and a retune found a little more mid range 8) I've been running a set of Toyo RA1's for hill climbs, they grip from cold very well, when hot they go off quite quickly though. Even so it's now quicker than it's been for a long time. I've also got a set of those 205/60/13 Hoosiers and another set of Rebels waiting for a little guard flaring so they'll fit without rubbing. I reckon there's a little bit of time to be saved once fitted I also forgot to do the bonnet pins up when leaving the servo a couple of months ago. They go bang and block your vision when flipped back up over the windscreen "

Deane, I saw your name on the entry list they e-mailed out. I cant wait, It should be an interesting day. I was happy/sad to see Moore'ys name next to a WRX not an Escort!!! It would have to be a trick thing for him to get in it? I will be interesed to here what you think of the Hoosiers when you give them a try?? I noticed there was another 1600 turbo listed as well. You should give our class D boy's a dust up, and it will be interesting to se how you go against Kelvins Skyline and Dutchies Evo 9?? like I said an interesting day.
Good luck this weekend Scando, get up 'em!!!
