Thanks Bluerat, I'll do my best!
There was a write up in the Huon News this week about the guy that you do some navigating for as the hot favourite for the Huon rally this weekend.

Yep, It's the Southern Safari weekend! you would hope Brooksy is favorite, he's won every stage this year exept one, has the car that won the 2005 Australaian rally championship, and a full time, ex STI mechanic working on it!!! The odd's are in his favour!! and I'm not in the car, thats got to be a big bonus as well, oh yeah and David Waldon's not running! ( or Baldric, or stanza coupe, Mark Kyle will in his orange 1600 though) Remember I putted a wanted add in for a 1000?? well my mate got one, then promptly ordered some 15 by 7's, and guess what they fit!!!!! It just goes to show, It's all about off set. Body work and paint are next, mind you it is delaying him putting together a 355ci race engine for his Commadore, which is a good thing for all those Skyline drivers out there. I also noticed that 510racer and B10wagon are running the hillclimb next weekend, mind you in a Corolla, tsk, tsk, tsk, there Mum is running in the 1600, go mum!!

Yep, saw that. I liked the idea but it was a terrible looking shirt! Had a great day at the hillclimb on sunday. Deane got 3rd outright and won his class. Bluerat took out the under 2L class. 510racer wins my award for 'warmest tyres' despite excellent efforts from Bluerat & Deane. b10wagon wins the prize for most revs. The sprinter sounded awesome screaming up the hill when I was on the flag point at the top. And Bucksdat wins the award for 'most enthusiastic'. I don't think I've ever seen somebody so pumped as he was on the start line before smashing his PB on his second last run. It was great to put a couple of names to faces and now I can get off my P's

Magic day!!! Do your self a favour, If you haven't seen Deane's FJ 1600 in action get out and see it!!! mindblowing..... Kelvin and the rb30/rb25 turbo R31 coupe Bucks Datsun and a man in a matching set of overalls 510racer in a Rb30 turbo R31 so is it now 'Rb30tR31racer'?? Ol' Blue just about to give everybody a lesson on how not to change gears.... Again, it was great to catch up with everyone and put some names to faces. A top venue and a lot of fun. By the way Scando, that was Buck on a calm day, you should see him fired up.....

yer, was a pretty good day, had fun in the new car
looks pretty prox in that pic, luckily a set of 16x8 superlites turned up this week, hmmmm
bluerat: on the subject of big rims on a 1000, ive had my 13x8's on the back of my 1000 sedan, took some major work with the hammer to get them to fit though, that was with 185 tyres and my car was very low, fronts wouldnt fit though, stupid transverse leaf (japs shoulda put struts in them)

Hi guys, shame didn't make it there to watch. The video missed a few out, Bluerat I will get to see you fly yet.
Hi Deane. Maybe some of the gunk the drag racers use to prime their tyres would be handy.... how much is this engine package producing?
What has become of the onboard cam that you had last year? the footage from that was fantastic.

Hi, does this board have an alternate IRC chat room where members also chat. Im blind and find sifting through forrums sometimes tedious. Prefer IRC if anyone knows of a place where some chat. Thanking all

Howdy guy's whats going on???
Got a car going yet Boost? Fixed the Stanza, Stanzacoupe? Hows that paintjob going Wombat? Got a picture of the R31 with the superlites 510racer? Got that Bluebird running tracspec?? how's the mighty K datsunreal? Is Tom back yet?
Well, I've been busy, the NWCC had an excellent club rally last weekend in the Yolla area, just near my place, organised by 'Bucksdat'. I navigated in a VN Commadore owned by a good mate of mine, and had a ball.....These events are great fun and simple to enter and compete in, The VN owes Roger around $4000 and you could do the same to a R31/R30 Skyline or EA/EB Falcon, and still drive it to work, and do other club events such as hillclimbs and Symmons/Baskerville clubdays, great value for money. I've also been doing some work on the 'ol Rat getting it ready for a LCCT clubday later this month, and the NWCC clubday at Symmons. I'm going to try a 4.4 r160 diff, which we are building up from a Datsun r160 welded centre an a Subi WRX crown wheel and pinion as I've had a lot of problems trying to get a 4.4 r180. I'm hoping it will give the 1600 some more kick out of the corners and a quicker lap time.......on paper it should work. I usually use a 3.9 or 4.1 ratio which seems to let the engine fall off the cam out of the hairpin and old pit corner, the 4.4 will keep the rev's up, but I may run out of rev's along th straight's, there's only one way to find out.......I've also been working on getting my 'spare' 1600 shell up and running and rego'd, but of course the more you do, the more you find to do, sound familiar???
Catch ya,
