Top day thanks Scando, even Wombat turned up.......for a look! Jamie V took the event and Hillclimb championship win in his Evo9 Lancer, I snuck in for first class B and second outright for the series, with Kelvin in the R31 GTS coming home third outright and first in class E. Leeroy had a top day in the 2.4 200B taking a class C win and a good outright postition, Young Skeggsy had a good drive in his Dad's L20 powered Stanza, after his two BMW's let him down, good old Datto's to the rescue!! The only downer was Keeg's in the L16 200B broke a throttle cable on his new twin Webers the night before and couldn't run.The event was wet all day so up front was a 4wd fest, which was a shame because Tim Briggs turned up in his very fast Series 8 RX7 fitted with an injected PP triple rotor and it would of been interesting to see what it would of done in the dry, as Tim is a very good steerer. All and all a very good series, and it would be great to see some more Datto's mixing it in next years series.........
We've got the NWCC's Dinner tonight and Ross Dunkerton is the guest speaker, Ross has won the Aust Rally Championship 5 times, three in a 240/260Z and one in a 1600 and is a very funny guy, should be a top night!
I've been off the air for a while due to trying to get broadband out in the country.....impossible..but I'm back now!!
Catch ya

Nice work Bluerat, winning class B is a good effort on its own but 2nd outright is amazing! Well done mate! Bad luck to Keegs, was he leading class A going into the event?

Well didnt I have a event full Xmas break. While traveling down to bicheno we stopped at Campbell Town I I got to talk to and pass on a Datsun Owners Card to the owner of a nice looking original White 240K. when I was walking back to a car a neat N10 Pulsar pulle dup next to me. I passed on a card to the owner of that car to had a chat.
While on the East coast I went to a 2nd hand shop in St Helens and picked up a near new workshop manual for the 78-80 model Skyline. why I brought it I dont know but I just had to have it.
while driving around there I took a wrong turn and ended up out near the tip and lo and behold theres another 240k sitting in the paddock. I talked to it owner who was using the car as a parts car for his other road going car. I left there after giving the owner one of the dat owners cards to.
the funnier thing is that Fraz turned up at the same place later on and was told I had been there.
Just goes to show the old Datto's are still out there you just got to keep an eye out and travel around abit.

jumped in the 140Y thismorning, put my foot on the clutch and it went POW! cable just broke ! luckily i have spares ;D im glad it didnt happen in the drive thru (Ricecutter) or any other inconvenient place ! i am currently deep in bodywork on the coupe, bog , polyu foam, fibreglass you name it its in there - i hate bodywork why didnt they make them out of fibreglass!) im also doing the wiring loom for the haltech. the loom was on a rotary so it has to be transmogrified to fit an L6, gotta splice the ign wiring in as well. very complicated. but much better than bodywork

My prayers for a water proof, wind protected shed with a cement floor have so far fallen on deaf ears!! Main rule is to throw the trully munted bits out.Saves the most time overall. If you need a hand to tidy yours up I would be interested Scando. ;D Is it a bit quiet on this site at the mo'? Wot you all up to?

Changing engines in the prairie, not really dificult, just requires a large amount of patience, about four hours each way compared to about 45 mins for the 12OY.

I have a problem with throwing bits away even if I don't think I'll ever use them they might be useful to someone else..........And we have a fair bit of shed space which helps I've been busily preparing for Targa Wrest Point. The car is pretty much ready now, just gotta fit the harness I borrow to keep Bluerat in place and we'll be set to go ;D
